Hi everyone!
My DD is currently 2 months old and her sleep is a bit skewiff (completely understandable - she's still tiny) but I'm really struggling.
We have a Snuzpod2 next to our bed for her to sleep in at night and a moses basket downstairs for napping. She can definitely be a contact sleeper. Some nights she does amazingly in her cot (at least 4 hours - sometimes 6) but some nights she will only sleep in my bed (following Safe Sleep Guidelines obviously). She naps absolutely fine in the moses basket during the day 99% of the time, other times she just wants to be held.
It honestly feels like she hates her cot sometimes. I'm very understanding of my DD's need to be held. Her whole life, she's only known comfort and being with me and part of me absolutely loves that she depends on me for that safety and comfort. I cannot stand listening to her cry, that being said, I'm getting better at waiting a couple of minutes before reacting and soothing her. She can also be really great at self settling - if she's tired enough or calm enough.
She will be in our room with us until at least 6 months old, but I've only got a small double bed and I don't sleep great when she's in bed with us.
Why do you think she sometimes hates her cot? And what can I do to encourage her to sleep in it.
Thank you from a very tired mumma (Also VERY new to MN, so apologies for any formatting/errors) 💜💜
