What is my 8m old doing?

My 8m old is definitely going through sleep regression. She has gone from sleeping through in her own room to now back coosleeping because she screams and goes frantic if she’s alone in her cot. She is also waking up regularly but sleeps a little better in my bed. However, she is constantly sitting up in her sleep or rolling on her belly to push herself up. Is this a developmental thing? I remember when she first learnt to roll and she was doing it a lot in her crib. She has learnt to crawl a couple of weeks ago and since then she has been doing this. It is starting to get really annoying as I am sometimes having to restrain her (gently) down as she will just keep doing it. Usually when I push her back down she will continue to sleep, but sometimes she will start to get really frustrated and cry that I keep laying her back down. Will this just stop someday? Or how do I tackle this?

Yes, it's a developmental thing. Babies seen to need to practice their new found skills.

It will pass...
