Nursery and Naps - HELP please

My DD will be 16 months soon and is showing signs of getting ready to drop to just one nap a day.

The trouble is, she is in nursery for half days - 730 am to 1pm.

If she were just at home with me her one nap would likely start at noon for 2-2.5 hrs. But pickup would interrupt this. What do I do?!

It seems like her being awake from 7am-1 pm (6 hours) is too long a wake window? Do we stick to two naps forever?! Catnap there and longer at home?

HELP!

You won’t know until you try it. If it was me I’d be offering her a little snack in the car to keep her awake on the way home and I’d get her to her room as soon as I was back.
It might be a bit hit and miss for a few weeks with some shorter naps if she’s overtired but as she gets a bit older she’ll be able to handle longer awake. My girl is 19 months and generally is awake 5h45m ish before her nap.

Are you close to the nursery? If it's walkable could you collect her in a buggy then she should do her longer afternoon nap in there? I'm sure all of the activity at nursery could keep her going until you pick her up at 1pm then she will crash out for you.

Just want to make sure a six hour wake window won't be detrimental to her or make her overtired! Especially if it's every week day

My baby is 13 months and regularly has 6 hours awake. She doesn't sleep at nursery - only 20 mins here and there. All nights are shit no matter what the naps are like in the day
