I’m at my wit’s ends

My 7 year old will not sleep through the night and if I get woken up one more time I think I’m going to lose my mind.
He sleeps fine at other people’s houses and sleeps through at his dad’s house but is up multiple times every night at mine.

his current list of reasons are:
he misses me
he wants to know what I’m doing
he didn’t know where I was
he’s scared
he can’t sleep.

he’s now started waking his brother up as well.

their bedtime routine is into bed at 7:30 with some calming music and I sit in with them for 10 mins until they nod off.

He has a favourite teddy that he sleeps with, the music is left on quietly and a lamp is on.

please help me!

Put a mattress on your bedroom floor and let him sleep
In your room, it's a phase, he'll get over it.

Yeah, it's a phase. Just sleep in same room for a bit. When my parents separated when I was 7, I needed to sleep in bed with my mother. I did it on and off until about 10. If he sleeps at another location some nights of week you'll have your bed to yourself then

He does it at your house because he needs the reassurance, let him sleep with you, he won't be doing it forever then you both get a good nights sleep. My youngest DD9 missed me when I started working full time so she slept with me for a few months then went back in her own room, she still has the odd night now when she asks to come in and she's nearly 13

Hun I'm literally in the same position with our little boy who's 5 in July...he slept through the night from 7-7 until he started school in September...he now wakes multiple times during the night...sometimes it can be 3 times even before 12pm...we have to sit in his room until he falls back to sleep then sneak out...we bring him into our bed if it's getting late around 4am cuz we all need sleep xxx

I’ve just been through this - was like a zombie for months due to constantly being woken up by DS8. We changed his bed to a mid sleeper (one with the desk etc under it) and he has only woken twice in the last 4 weeks. Such a relief.
I however am now so used to being woken every night that I find it hard to sleep past 4/5am so still trying to get over sleep debt 🙄
