1 YO illness recovery or sleep regression?

My LO turned 1 3 weeks ago, she's been a solid 12 hr a night sleep since about 4 months old.

Always took a full bottle at bed time and then slept through 7pm - 7am 95% of the time. Just before her 1st birthday she caught a nasty stomach bug and then after recovering from that caught a nasty virus which has taken her 3 weeks to just about recover from. In that time she lost her appetite and her usual sleep pattern went out the window due to congestion, pain, fever and hunger as she wasn't eating, not even drinking at some points. (We did take her to hospital where she was rehydrated) she's just recently started eating solids again and gone back to a 7pm bed time and sleeping in her own bed once taking her bed time bottle, only now she's waking up with intense screaming sometimes insatiable for milk or a cuddle and we're finding it increasingly harder to get her back to her own bed once she's woken up the first time. I'm up and down like a yo yo.

I'm struggling to understand if this is just par for thr course and she's still recovering from a bad illness, will settle back in time and get back on track or if this is a sleep regression and tbr night time hunger waking are a development milestone.

Help!? From a very tired mum.

No advice sorry but my DD was also one 3 weeks ago and is terrible at night time. She has been since she’s been in her own room since 6.5 months, we were getting there before Christmas but the lack of routine over Christmas sent us backwards. But this last two weeks has been particularly painful. She has started taking steps this week though so I’m pretty sure it’s sleep regression.
what’s your LO like for naps? I think if she’s fighting naps too it is most likely sleep
regression. I have read (extensively) that 12m sleep regression usually lasts about 4-6 weeks.
So sorry to hear she’s been so poorly, it’s absolutely awful when they’re so ill.

So sorry to hear that your LO is having trouble too. She naps absolutely fine, when she was ill it she would sleep all the time so was hard to monitor but now she's getting better she's back to 2 naps a day usually an average of 45 mins to an hour maybe 1.5 sometimes.

My partner and I also came down with whatever our daughters had so with her lack of sleep it's taken us longer to recover as we're not sleeping and it's been an endless cycle and somehow in the middle of all of this I've gone back to work!

I'm hoping it's a mixture of her still being a little unsettled from being so ill, a sleep regression which she'll grow out of eventually and a little separation anxiety from me going back to work and her being at nursery.
