Co-sleeping twin arrangement?

My wife and I are pregnant for the first time, and are covering all bases. She is at high risk of multiple births. What have other people used for co-sleeping twins?

This wasn't a question of wether it's twins or not. I asked for other people's experiences of co sleeping with twins. If you have no experiences with this, or no helpful input then please don't comment

Standard cot with them swaddled. Twins' Trust has guidance on safe sleeping for twins, like a.pdf thing you can print out.

Actually do you know there is difft guidance for multiples in various areas? Such as development. Do check out TT -. They used to be TAMBA or Twins and Multiple Births Association but now trade as Twins Trust.

I have twins

Seems like a lot of trouble to go to when you don't even know if you are actually having them 🙄

But I used a next to me crib when they were both tiny and then they both shared a cot then moved into their own. Didn't do sleep as much - I felt comfortable doing it with eldest singleton but having 2 babies in the bed was more stressful and I didn't feel as safe personally

Now they are huffed though they are always climbing in with me 😂

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable co sleeping with twins. One is fine

It's not a lot of trouble at all, we just want to be super prepared if/when the time comes.

Both babies in same next to me crib? Is this possible?

The babies co-sleeping together... not sleeping with us

I have twins and they were in the one large cot together for the first four months in the lounge where one of us always slept. Then we put one in a travel cot.

spidereggs · 23/02/2023 21:08

Hmmm.

I would do whatever was recommended.

My best friend had twins at 29 weeks. They were to sleep together, on front, due to various medical reasons. It near broke her, putting babies down on tummy. People judging.

I would say, being prepared is fine, but as someone who has had double figure losses, try and calm down and step back until first scan.

Fair enough.

bagelbagelbagel · 23/02/2023 21:12

This is weird, are you having twins or not?

Annaat20 · 29/12/2023 09:32

Some parents choose to have both twins share the same bed, either in a larger-sized family bed or a connections nyt specifically designed twin-sized co-sleeper.
