Sleeping on side

My baby will be 7 months next week and the last few nights is consistently rolling into her side to sleep, sometimes onto her tummy. I've woken her twice already tonight trying to reposition her to her back. Is it safe to leave her on her side /tummy of she does this herself? Will she wake herself if she squishes her nose and blocks her airway and be able to fix herself? It's making me super anxious and I'm waking constantly checking her

My LO started rolling just before 4 months and I couldn't stop him from sleeping on his side or stomach (I tried for a while as my anxiety was through the roof!), apparently if they can get themselves into that position they should be fine.

He's now 10 months old and absolutely fine, never sleeps on his back!

I'm sure your LO will be fine too 😊

I was always told that once they are independently rolling, it’s fine for them to sleep in whatever position they want. All three of mine have ended up being tummy sleepers.

It’s fine! Leave her to sleep. Rejoice that she does.

Thanks everyone. I left her to do her thing after that and she stayed in the exact same position til 8am! Considering she was waking multiple times a night up until this I will happily accept the side sleeping if it means a good night's sleep!! (once it's safe)
