Hello Everyone,
please any advice on what I can do to get my nearly 2 year old to stay asleep through the night im absolutely clueless of what else to try, hardly ever slept through, doesnt have a comforter wanted us to stroke him to sleep, will wake up 2 3 times a night or even more when he wakes up he will winge or scream cry, throw his dummy so we have to go and get him this can happen when trying to get him to sleep too,I wouldn't mind if it was just getting him to sleep that was the problem but its both! we took him to see a pediatrician they said be persistent, this has been over a year now of trying so many different methods im not frustrated with him but im frustrated with why he won't sleep through or what is making him so unsettled honestly clueless and its mentally draining I just dont know what to do anymore :(
thank you.

What worked for us with getting to sleep was gradually reducing amount of contact. So we went from laid in bed to sat next to bed with arm over him. Then over several weeks continued to reduce contact until he was basically putting himself to sleep .

Waking up , you probably need to ditch the dummy, it's likely the dummy coming out that's disturbing him. But for now I'd just keep putting him back in bed , no talking just in bed.

see we have been trying that for months even when we are sat next to him he cries he just wants our comfort with his dummy he can put it back in himself sometimes ive watched him on the camera do it, he just can't self soothe himself at all x
