Almost 1 year old wants a night feed

My baby boy will be 1 in under 2 weeks.
Has been a brill sleeper since around 8 months and dropped a night feed also.
Has 3 8oz bottles in the day and 3 solid decent meals
Last week he has been very unsettled at night and nothing seems to comfort him... Turns out, he is hungry
Is there some sort of growth spurt around this age? Or is his daily intake not enough...

I found from 12-18 months mine sometimes wanted a night feed and sometimes didn't before dropping altogether. I'm sure some people would say not to give them a night feed but I think if they are waking hungry or thirsty they need it.

It's so hard to know what's right!
He hasn't wanted one from around 8 months.. even when up in the night with colds etc
Just worried about creating a bad habit and going backwards rather than aiming to drop formula feeds as HV said he shouldn't need 3 feeds daily

I am perhaps not the best person to give advice as my little one is almost two and still wants one sometimes Blush but I have noticed he definitely wants one if he's upset/teething/got a cold. I don't know if he's had a nightmare at times but its the only thing to settle him at times. Is it about 1 they may start having things like nightmares?? Things they (kind of) worked for us were porridge supper before bed & giving him a comforter to hug.

I tried watering down the milk, he was so mad at my deceitful ways he threw the bottle across the room. Haven't tried that since.....
