Dummy for breastfed baby

Has anyone tried the trick where you give your baby a dummy after they've fallen asleep on the boob?

Has it worked for your LO?

My 4 month old has refused a dummy from literally day 4 (she was having cannulas in so needed a way of soothing her that wasn't breast) but she never took to it.

I just tried this tip from someone on TikTok about giving it whilst they're asleep, but she spat it out in one second.

We cosleep and I don't mind, but I just want to spread across my bed and sleep on my tummy again for at least one portion of the night 😭

I did it with my first and it was amazing. He's older now so I can't remember the specifics.
But you won't regret trying.
It may work it may not but it's worth trying.
