18 month old climbing out of cot WWYD

So I've got an 18 month old and a five year old. The 18 month old sleeps in a cot next to my bed and the five year old sleeps in the next room and usually joins me in bed during the wee hours.

Baby has now started to scale the cot. Luckily she's had a safe landing on my bed so far. I can't figure out what to do for the best. These are my options:

A) buy her a toddler bed and keep it in my bedroom, put a stair gate on the bedroom door. DS won't be able to work that in the middle of the night and even if he does open it he won't close it behind him.

B) I have a spare room with a double bed in it, I could put her in that? The aim was for her to go in there eventually but she seems so little still. It's fairly toddler proof - it has built in wardrobes and cupboards. Only thing is she would be able to climb onto the windowsill from the bed I think. It's also across the landing from my room ...seems very far away but DH will sleep in a room beside her.

She could always just sleep in my bed but I would still have the stair gate issue and my bed is quite high. Also she and DS would keep each other awake. None of the options seem perfect but I'm thinking maybe B.

I think only option is B, alternative seems a waste of time and money considering how fast they grow.

But then I put DC in own bedroom at 3 months ago perhaps I view differently.
