Newborn naps

FTM here. Can someone advise on newborn naps? My LO doesn’t seem to behave like a newborn should according to good old Google!

She’s 4 weeks old and throughout the night wakes every three hours like clockwork to feed (formula).

But during the day it’s a different story. I’m under the impression that newborns have wake windows of about 45 to 60 mins and show sleepy cues when they’re tired. My baby does none of this! She can be awake for hours and then obviously gets over tired. At 45 mins after she’s woken up I can start trying to get her to fall asleep (rocking, shushing etc) but she’s just absolutely wide awake. On top of this, after she’s had her milk she gets reflux so I can’t lay her down until at least an hour after she’s finished eating or she’ll be lying there in a pool of her own vomit. She absolutely hates being in a sling and is happy to nap in my arms when she finally does fall asleep but she’ll sleep for the whole day if I were to let her! She rarely wakes up for feeds so I have to wake her every 4 hours by which time she’s absolutely ravenous and drinks loads then sicks it all back up. We’ve tried feeding less more often, Gaviscon and Carobel as well as switching formula from Kendamil to Hipp. Nothing works.

Im really not sure what I should be doing with regards to naps? If she’s really tired and already sound asleep I can put her down in her cot and she’ll sleep for hours there too. I guess what I need advice about is, is this normal? Or should I be waking her more often and getting her back to sleep more often? I’m clueless!

I think wake windows are a load of crap. Mine never went by them, I let them sleep naturally at their own time rather than forcing them after the wake window. Nothing else to add, just that I didn't follow them if it's something you wanted to cry and go with baby's one rhythms instead..
