Toddler waking up loads at night - really struggling to cope

My DD will be 2 next month and has never been the best sleeper however had mostly been sleeping through the night from 12 months with only minor set backs however we moved her into a toddler bed about 3 months ago and now most nights wakes up crying until we go into her (she has a stairgate on her door so can't leave) on a good night this will only be once but can be 3-4 X per night.

I know it's common for toddlers to have trouble sleeping when transitioning into a big bed but it's been 3 months.

Between her and my DS who is 5 months I am getting next to no sleep (the best is 5 hours of extremely broken sleep on a good night). My partner works nights so can't help. I can't even nap during the day as DD refuses to nap no matter what.

I'm really struggling to cope with anything and everything as I'm so exhausted all the time.

I hope you get some good help hear, but just wanted to send a hug as it's obviously a middle of the night post!

Mine did this, and in the end it turned out they were just not warm enough. The combination of winter and big bed meant needed a lot more wrapping. Bed socks, tights, check the fabrics you're using, and finally, a small hot water bottle with warm not hot water in it.

No idea if that helps, but I remember it well. Also worth checking that it isn't a coincidence and nothing to do with the bed... low grade ear issue etc.

Check the mattress is ok, take it off the toddler bed and make sure their are no problems with the springs .
