6 month old won’t sleep in own cot

Hii first time using mn

I am struggling getting my 6 month old ds to sleep in his own cot at night, he’s been co sleeping with me and my dh but want him moved into his own cot. He does go down for an hour or so but then wakes up every half an hour until dh ends up putting him back in our bed. I’ve tried coming up with a schedule and routine for ds but dh just doesn’t stick to it so feel like I am fighting an up hill battle and he will never get used to being in his own bed but then don’t get how to get through to dh. He doesn’t really help when he wakes up, just if I don’t get up and he does his solution is bed with us. I really don’t know what to do as it’s affecting our relationship as we are constantly butting heads 😮‍💨

You need to do a combo of some of these things:

Talk to dh about why he doesn't stick with the plan

Move Ds into a different room and decide he stays in there so it's harder to bring him in with you
Accept DS is like this and co sleeping might be the best option right now

Get a bigger bed!

We used to decide dc would stay in cot, come what may, then I'd wake and bring them in bed with no memory of it. I found it hard to switch from co sleeping to dc being in cot in the same room - they know you're there in bed and want to be in with you.
