Hi everyone. I have newborn twins. They are 8 weeks old. They like to be held for daytime naps so I currently wear them in a sling. Their wake time is very short. Twin Bs is shorter around 30-45 mins and twin A slightly longer but I put him in sling at the same time and they will both drift off with a bit of movement.
They would happily sleep on my bed at night without being held after a little cuddle.

Yesterday everything went wrong for twin B and he was mostly awake from 5pm until 9pm with a few minutes of sleep within that time.

Here was his routine yesterday (chosen by him. Fed on demand and sleep on cues.)

Woke 7.30
Bottle 8.00
Nap 1 8.15-10-45
Bottle 10.45
Nap 2 11.15-2
Bottle 2.00
Nap 3 2.40-5.10
Bottle 5.10
5.45 /night time started swaddle, white noise etc/ crying and keeps waking
Bottle 7.50
/still in dark room trying rocking etc/
8.50 bring downstairs and put in sling and sway
Asleep around 9.15
Bottle 12am and sleeps
Bottle 5.30 refuses sleep until 6.30

His twin slept perfectly from around 6pm until 6.30 this morning, waking or being dream fed milk at the same time as his twin (can't remember who woke for milk but when one wakes, I feed both as otherwise I dont get any sleep)

Please offer advice as I got hardly any sleep last night and can't do many nights like that. They were born just over 2 weeks early if that changes anything and twin B had very low birth weight, born at 4lbs 11 and now 7 lbs 11.

When we had something like this it was all gas.

Although I think at 8 weeks I didn’t track baby’s sleep just went with the flow. I think it was pretty wild.

Sounds like hell. Gas could be a shout. Gripe water works well at that age
