Bedtime routine - in our room or hers?

DD, 3mo, currently sleeps in a bedside crib in our room. The plan is to move her to her own room at 6mo.

She's definitely starting a sleep regression, so I want to start instilling good sleep hygiene including a bedtime routine.

Is it okay to start this in our room, where she sleeps - and then change it to her room in a few months? Is that going to make the move to her room more confusing?

She needs to sleep where you are until at least 6 mo and the 'regression' permanently changes sleep anyway. Don't overthink

Yes start a routine now whilst she is in your room. Bare in mind though that all babies have a regression at this age as they suddenly need more calories.

Yes, I know that @Harrysmummy246 - I will be in the room once she goes to sleep. She's too distracted to sleep in the evenings downstairs with us anymore.

She's definitely feeding more in the day, but not waking for food (other than once, sometimes twice) as she won't latch just fusses.

But she's seriously fighting naps and needs to be rocked and held when she wake's multiple times a night

Do the routine where she sleeps. When she's old enough and ready. Start the routine in your bedroom, then finish in hers
