Hi, can anyone tell me how much day sleep a 13M needs? My daughter has between 2-3hrs between 2 naps normally but the less she has the better she goes down at night? She only had 30mins on Xmas day and went down a dream and slept till 7:30! Bedtime is currently a battle..her first nap is usually around 9:30. Does this need to be a catnap? Thanks

One nap up to two
hours long.

The nap needs to be later.

Depends on the child. DC2 is 17 months and is sleeping 11 hours at night and 2 hours in the day, DC1 was dropping her nap completely and slept about 11 hours at night at the same age.

The less day sleep there is the more sleep pressure there is at bedtime to they drop off easier - up to a certain point, eventually they get too tired and stressed and then it's a nightmare.

awake anywhere between 530-7..first nap around 930 then 2ish. Some days she could easily sleep 2hours on each and have to wake her but have read to cap the morning one to 15 mins as may be reason for early waking?
