My 7month old son screams hysterically in his cot at night. He usually falls asleep in my arms and then wakes up half an hour after being placed in his cot. I have tried sitting with him and stroking his head and talking to him etc but the screams just get worse. I pick him up and then he falls asleep in my arms after about 5 mins as he is soooo tired. So then I place him in his cot again and then he wakes up again and so it goes on. To end up with I just give in and feed him. He does sleep all night so I know I shouldn't complain but I just hate seeing him get so upset and overwrought. Some nights its half 11 before he finally caves! During the day he falls asleep by himself without any hassle so why not at night?
