Twin sleep help. They are so different!

Hi all,

I'm at the point of despair. I am hoping for a little help.

We have 2 daughters aged 7 and 3 and they both slept well. The usual blips, the usual sleepless nights but we got through it.

We now have 2 twin boys too. They are both breast fed. 6.5 months old. But very different despite the same routines.

Twin 1: fed at bed time at same time as brother. Unlatches when full. I then transfer to their cot which is currently next to me. He'll wake once maybe twice and then will go back to sleep after a quick feed.

Twin 2: Sleeps latched and continues to be latched when finished drinking. Will wake immediately when put in the cot. Sometimes waking twin 1. Will only stay asleep when unlatched if between me and my husband. But, will spontaneously wake and his crying goes from 0-100 with no in-between. He gets so upset and pulls at hair, skin, anything. Husband persists and tries, but only my boob will settle him. But this just starts the brief cycle again.

In the day, both boys are chilled as can be. Happy little souls, barely cry. But something about night time gets twin 2 soooo angry!

They've both had the same routines but react so differently and it's so hard to understand what to do. Every week twin 2 sleeps worse and worse. I look back to when they were 2 months old and they both slept right through sometimes.

I'm sorry, this sounds like a rant, but has anyone faced anything similar?

We are both sooooo tired!

There a sleep regression at 6 months, could it just be that?

Which twin is fed first? Could it be after feeding twin 1, twin 2 isn’t filling up as much as he would like?

I'm afraid it's not the 6 month regression. It's been going on since the 4 month, possibly earlier. But it is getting worse.

I have them both on a boob each before we put them down.

Could one boob be making less than the other? Mine did that 😬
