Hi everyone

just a quick one.
5 month old. Who used to sleep 7-7 started a whole set of sleep rules at 4 months. Started waking for a bottle or 2 through the night. Which is fine, I can handle this, but recently seems to wake about half 9 and just tosses and turns. I sooth her and she goes back to sleep for 10 mins and same again. Seems to just want held because as soon as I pick her up. She’s our cold. Have had to bring her in beside us a couple of times just to get some shut eye, but she seems to randomly cry then falls back asleep with soothing. Not sure what’s causing this.
we have a 3 year old who also has night waking but he is usually comes through and falls asleep which I don’t mind at all. Problem is, if baby in bed then I have to take him back to his own room and lie beside him for a whole. Me and hubby are shattered. What are we doing wrong ?
m thanks

I'm sorry I don't have any advice but my 5 month old is similar. Used to sleep like a log, then after 4 months started waking for a feed or 2 again and is getting more and more difficult to settle back off after. Used to be if he did wake up for a feed I could put him back in his cot awake and he'd take himself back off to sleep. Now he's wide awake for ages and takes lots of settling. So far I've managed to not bring him in with us and I really don't want to co-sleep. Like yours he also cries but can be out cold again as soon as I pick him up. He also randomly cries for a very short time in his sleep then settles himself off again. No idea what's going on or how to tackle it. Sorry I can't be any help, I'm hoping it is a phase that passes

Thanks for your reply. They are tricky little things aren’t they? I’m hoping this is just a phase too. I really didn’t realise how lucky we were when she was sleeping through the night. Oh how I laugh lol.
