15 month old’s midnight wakeups are driving us all mad

If they were just midnight wakeups they’d probably be ok - instead it’s midnight and then really frequently after that for the rest of the night. Tonight my toddler woke at about 10 and has been crying, drifting off to sleep, then waking and crying again for almost two hours already. Going in to soothe him only seems to make him angrier.

It doesn’t help that he’s still in our bedroom (unavoidable for the next couple of months). We sleep coached a couple of months ago and it worked brilliantly at first. However after a bad teething phase he now seems to have lost any ability to put himself back to sleep further into the night. It’s got us all feeling exhausted and very tense.

any ideas on what could be going on? Help!
