Own room - cosleep options

My 7mo is shortly going to be moving into their own room. After fairly awful sleep for months we’re now finally at a point where it is ok ish… except when she has a cold/is teething/ etc etc.

When these things happen we cosleep for a few nights to make it survivable. However the cot wedged up against my bed will be going with her, meaning if I brought her back to our bed she could roll out.

What do people do? Have a guard on our bed? Have some kind of bed / mattress/ something in her room?! Ideas welcome :)

Depending on the set up of your room you could put the bed against the wall and stuff the gap with cushions.

That's how we set up DD's room.
