I really need help sorting out my toddler’s sleep schedule!

wake up - 9am

nap - 2-4

bed - 10pm (but awake from 3-5am)

this bedtime is way too late and it disrupts our day!
for example today,

she woke up 9.40am
nap 2.30pm-4pm
bed 10.30pm
but she was awake from 4.30-6.30am

she takes an hour to go sleep each time and she will be awake 2 hours every night from 2-4am or 3-5am, where we just give up and co-sleep and then going back to sleep again until 9am!

she’s not a great eater either, only on the 9th centile and recently she’s drastically reduced her milk intake so don’t know how to squeeze calories in

please can someone help, I’m stuck in this circle and can’t get out!

Wake her earlier in the morning, even if she is tired it will start moving the day so you have an earlier start and therefore and earlier bedtime.

Things like mashed potato with full fat milk and cheese in we're good for my daughter when she struggled to gain weight.

If they are waking in the night you could consider making her nap in the day shorter - wake after an hour, or dropping altogether. Depends on the child though, if it makes them over tired that can make the night waking worse. Has to be trial and error I think.

Wake earlier and just move everything backwards..

Hello! Do you want her to be going to bed this late
and waking this late? I see she takes an hour to go down, which means bedtime is 9ish?

if you want to get into a 7-7ish routine, but she’s in a habit of waking early morning, I’d suggest waking her. To start with, try this:

wake her at 8am.

if she’s had a broken night sleep and can’t wait til lunchtime for a nap, give her a 20 min Power Nap around 10:30 - in the car or buggy could be good rather than the cot and then having to wake her

lunch 12:30

nap 1-3ish?

7:15 start bed time, down by 8?

then just make it a bit earlier til you have 7-7. I think if you want to adjust the timings the Power Nap in the morning is key.

Hi@reimah and of course the Power Nap should only be on a couple of occasions while she gets used to it. I’d say 2-3 days t most while she gets used to being woken earlier. She should only have 1 nap a day.
