Am I doing something wrong?

I have a lovely 4mo DD who simply will not sleep in the day. She's never been a great napper but the 4 month sleep regression has well and truly hit! I can tell she's exhausted and grumpy but she can't drop off. She will fall asleep feeding on me but wake the second I wake up, same occasionally in the car or pram but wakes as soon as the motion stops. I'm paying attention to sleepy cues and wake windows but she just will not drop off. This then means she's hysterical at bedtime because she's so tired. Any advice? Thanks from a tired mama

My daughter did her entire nap latched on at that age... Could this be possible for a bit of time to get her out of the overtired cycle?

No advice sorry! We did every nap in the carrier or I'd get into bed with her and let her sleep latched on (and try to nap myself!)
At age 1, she finally cracked it!

My advice, go with it and don't over think it. It's hard but this phase will pass. With my first I used to stress about this and try for ages to get her to sleep in her cot but to no avail. With my second Ill broke all my rules, let her nap on me if she fell asleep feeding...she's still the more cuddly of the two! Slowly she'll get used to being put down more, but really at this age they need lots of cuddles...my advice would be take the cuddles and outsource the housework, jobs etc where you can!

Oh, and try a dummy, it worked for 2 weeks for us before she rejected it....but still, 2 weeks of better nights!

Thanks for your replies. Today has been our worst yet nap wise. She's only slept whilst latched on and only for 30 mins or less. When she's awake she's so grumpy bless her. I've spent upwards of £100 on dummies only for her to reject every single one 😫so frustrating as I know she'd sleep so much better with one

very similar situation here, I'm currently Tupi g this while my 3 month old is "napping" latched on I know he'll wake of I move. I've also tried lots of different dummies sometimes he'll entertain one for a brief moment but he mainly just spits them out!

No help to you but just wanted to post to say going through the same thing here!
