It's just a new thing for him. My ds went into his bed at 18 months (he's now 2.2) and for about a week he was amazed that he could get up and play at nap time, but now he gets into bed and snuggles up and has his normal 90 min nap

My dd2 has gone into a bed recently and I told her on the first few times if she got out she would go in her cot (she didnt want to go in the cot, she chose to go in a big girl bed) I also told her if she got out mummy would be very cross and children naturally want to please us, they want praise and smiles etc so she doesn't want to make mummy cross (exagerated sad face, stern look, deep voice "oh dear you have made mummy very cross now please do/ not do that again" this is enough to bring on tears in my dd then she says sorry and we cuddle)

ohh nooo - dd still naps now. Occassionally she will get up and play but 90% of the time she will still nap - she is 3.3.
