Feed to sleep association

Hi all, baby has a sleep to feed association although will also be rocked and will sleep in the pram. Either way needs help to sleep. Is the feed to sleep association something that definitely needs breaking, i.e do any fed to sleep babies successfully sleep large chunks? I'd be happy with a 5 hour sleep window, at the moment she's waking sometimes 20 mins after being put down or then every 2.5 hours at night. She is 5 months. Thank you!

Generally speaking, yes, if you want your baby to sleep long chunks they need to be able to fall asleep independently.

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry. My 11mo feeds to sleep and goes through - I can hear him settling back down through the night without me.

2.5 yo fed to sleep by holding his own bottle until he was 2 and I took it away. He has slept through since 1

I always fed mine to sleep. They are teens now so obviously they just go to bed in the normal way. I don't really understand why feeding to sleep is a problem. It's nice for a baby.
