Hi, my 1yo son has sucked his thumb since being 4 months. Thumb sucking essentially got him sleeping through the night as he was able to settle himself. My little one has been poorly over the last couple of weeks with mouth sores and now a chest infection. This has led to him not sucking his thumb anymore, and as such, no longer sleeping. We are lucky if we get 1 hour out of him before he wakes needing settling.
Does anyone have tips on getting him to suck his thumb again? He loved it so much!
I have spoken to a health visitor and dentist about his thumb sucking, who have said there is no issue with him doing it at this age.
Any advice would be very gratefully received, thank you
