Transition from bed sharing to own cot & room

I need to start thinking about moving my 8mo to her own room and cot.

I love bed sharing with her and so does she. I have a next to me but she will wake and crawl in with me if shes moved into it. I beastfeed to sleep in my bed at the moment.

I'd love to hear how you guys did it (if you did) and at what age and general experiences or advice!

I will do it slowly as she has a lot going on at the mo, teething, starting nursery etc.

But I'd like my evenings back as starting back at work again soon and don't want to finish work and go nearly straight to bed!
At the moment I can't leave her as she would fall out of bed.

I'd suggest starting by bringing the big cot into your room, and removing one side.

How about a floor bed? We transitioned to a floor bed this week as LO was getting more and more mobile so he wouldn’t fall out of bed. Now we just have a mattress on the floor with his cot next to it with legs taken off and one side down, and I can put him to bed before I go to bed myself.
