1 year old now won’t sleep alone

My daughter has had a month of illness, HFMD, then tonsillitis, oral thrush and most recently norovirius. She used to sleep really well, cuddle to sleep and then would have to wake her most mornings as she would still be fast on. But ever since being unwell she will only sleep well in bed with me. I put her down in her cot and she wakes after 45 mins, I’ll settle her and maybe get her back in her cot for 45 mins more but after a few goes I usually give up and bring her in with me. Next to me she sleeps so soundly.

She turned one last week. I’ve been trying her with one nap after lunch but again can’t get her to sleep longer than 45 mins for a nap unless she’s with me or in her car seat/pram.

Has anyone else been through this and can offer advice? I tried to do CIO the other night but she got so worked up and my partner is dead against it.

Totally normal. Just do whatever gets you all the most sleep for a little while longer and then gently return to your old routine. They go through separation anxiety every so often too, it could be that. My LO coslept with us for 15 months, and sleeps through 12hrs most nights in his own bed but when he's unwell, everything goes out the window and we cosleep til he's back to normal.
No need to CIO 🙂 You've got this.

Thank you @KitKatKit you have no idea how much I needed to hear that. I have been feeling like such a failure recently, lots of tears and guilt. Felt like I’ve been drowning. She’s had a lot of changes recently with me going back to work and attending nursery so maybe she just needs mummy a little bit more atm.
