Concern over toddler sleep (SIDS)

We bought our 18 month old DS a 4 tog duvet and pillow set today.
We haven't used them before, and I'm at a loss as to what to dress him in for sleep with it.
He currently has long trousers and a t-shirt on and seems content (room at 20c) however this temp will drop later in the night.
Can anyone advise?
What is your duvet'd toddler wearing this evening/what temperature is the room?
So worried about SIDS. Thanks!

use a sleep sack? some places they go upto 3 years old.

I would not rush into a duvet/pillow either they do not need them really if you read into it.

stick with sleep sacks as long as possible and no pillow

18 month olds don't die of sids, 90% occur before the age of 6 months and after 1 year it wouldn't be classed as sids, there would be a different cause of death

At 18 months my kids wore normal pjs under their duvet, at that age they can kick the duvet off if they get too hot

I’ve always found my kids kicked the covers off and laid on the mattress anyway.

can you get some flannel pj’s for when it gets colder and also maybe some fluffy bed socks if he will wear them.

Mine hated their legs covered so we used the sleepsuits from Jojo Maman, they’re like a sleeping bag with legs.

Ditto kicking the covers off - very annoying when it is your covers and they are sleeping in the middle 😬
