Help! How do I transition 6mo to own crib?

My DD is 6mo. She'll go to sleep in the crib in her own room 7.30-8pm and stay asleep until 12. I'll usually give her a feed at this point. Then after that is when the problem starts. She'll be wide awake, wanting to play and can't be shushed or patted to sleep. Leaving her to self sooth in her crib doesn't work she just cries. This can go on for 2-3 hours. Last night it went on until 3.30 when I just gave up and put her in bed with me. Even then she takes awhile to settle.

I really don't know the right thing to do for that middle of the night waking when she won't go back to sleep on her own.

Have a search of split nights. Very common.

Thank you I've never heard of this term so had a google. They say it can be due to rubbish daytime naps and it's true she's not a good napper. Either cat naps or that last nap is a bit late only because she barely gets it in the day.

Ooh thank you I’m having the same issue with my 11mo!
Good luck OP I hope you’re getting somewhere with yours. 💐

Ohhh this sounds tough!
As pp says, take a look at overall sleep across the day and night. She might be getting too much or not enough day sleep.
I find the parent and baby sleep coach a good one to follow on insta.
Good luck!
