9 month old fidget

My dd was an amazing sleeper from 7 weeks to about 6/7 months
She's 9 months now and wakes in the middle of the night about 2/3am and cries. If I pick her up she's fine and will immediately fall asleep on me. I have taken to just picking her up and taking her into bed and co-sleeping for the rest of the night when she does this (she still stays in our room) because it's just easier (maybe I should focus on trying to get back to sleep in her bed though)
The last couple of weeks when she's taken into our bed she then fidgets around like crazy and lets out small cries, she's not fully asleep but not awake either. Arms flying around so I get smacked in the face loads. She'll move around until she sits herself up and then just fling herself back face down and back to tossing and turning
Any idea what could cause this?
She will eventually fall asleep again but like last night she was awake doing this from about 3-5am and then zonked out and slept right through to the point I have to wake her up about 8am so she can get ready for us leaving for nursery by 8.30 and it's a rush
So it's knocking her sleep all off as well and I'm having to interrupt some of the good sleep she is getting

I am going through the exact same thing with my 9 month old!!!! I could have honestly written this post.
Do you have any update? (Writing this at 4:30am frantically searching the net for answers lol!)

Hey! She's slightly better yes. Still wakes in middle of the night and cries to come into our bed but the fidgeting isn't as much
I think it was a mixture of teething and her having the cold for agggges
She has about 10 teeth at the moment and most of those sprung on her so I think it was the night time it was getting her most

When she's unsettled she will fidget around like crazy!
