Was just reading pampers website and said milk in a bottle for an 18mth old is a bad bad habit. Is it really that bad? Should I stop immediately?

oh many people will say it is bad, but I think it depends how much/often they are having it.
my ds1 had his bedtime milk in a bottle til he was over 2.
all his other drinks were from cups though

Mine has milk from bottle before bed and has a sip from it in night if wakes. Perhaps this is the bad habit the article was referring to. She like yours is very good at having other cups in the day and bottles are only for bed time. Weird she was bf until 1 and could not stand bottles.

DS1 had milk from a bottle (bedtime only) till he was 3. Lot of people I know have let their DC have a comfort bottle till well beyond this age. Ignore the website, do what's right for your DC. What harm can it do?

My feelings exactly. Love the pampers site but this comment was very damning.

They say this because some children have bottles hanging out of their gobs all day and night, which is bad for their teeth. it can't have any discernible effect if your child has a brief drink of milk twice a day.

she still request odd ones, although she is almost 3.

Reassuring to know.

Am I being a softie for letting her have a little bit of milk from the bottle if she wakes in night. She can still wake but milk help settles her quickly. Am I just creating probs in long run.
