Hi!
I a lost mumma! Feel like I’m really struggling getting little man to sleep and failing him. Little man is 7 months old.

Bedtime routine has always been working for us would fall asleep naturally no problems would wake every 2/3 hours for feed but settle back down.

The past two weeks he just will not settle he is tired but throws himself around the cot want to be on his belly but then gets so distressed he can’t get comfortable. Is on his knees and then keeps moving so much he gets upset and bangs himself all around the cot.
He then gets to a point of being so tired he just gets so upset.
The only way I have been able to get him off as a last resort is in his pram, which is not ideal but he gets so hysterical.

bedtime routine is a nice bath, no distractions hour before bed and a bottle and lullabies.
we have tried letting him cry it out, and been there to re assure.
He has never been a baby that will let me rock him to sleep or cuddle into me.

just after any suggestions as I’m just lost what to do.
thanks x

It may just be that he's going through a bit of a funk and it's messed up his sleep? My little one has done this at big milestones like rolling over, pulling to stand, starting to talk, walk etc. Usually lasts a couple of weeks then back to normal. In that time I usually just ride it out and do whatever it takes, that's my best advice though sorry! 😂

sorry for the late reply!

thank you so much that honestly makes me feel better, was starting to think what am I doing wrong and can’t keep doing this 😞

he is starting to crawl well more of a fast drag at the moment so I wonder if that is making him like that. He just rolls onto his front then screams and won’t go down. Was scared the pram routine was a bad habit but it’s literally last resort!
thank you xx
