6mo early wakes

Hi all posting this on behalf of a friend. Her LO is 6.5 months old (almost 7 months) and has 2 naps a day (9.30-10.30 and 1.30-3.30) bedtime is at 7pm. Baby sleeps all night (lucky thing!) but wakes 5.30/6. My friend gives LO a bottle and they go back to sleep until 7/7.30. Is this a problem? Is she instilling the early morning wakes by feeding? LO can self settle at night but obviously sleep pressure is lower that time of the morning…any thoughts?

No idea but that sounds like a dream

Itsmeagainyes · 14/09/2022 07:45

My 7 year old has never slept anything like that amount. No it is not is problem.

ChittyBang1987 · 14/09/2022 08:15

No way an issue. Especially if lo goes back to sleep. Most wake at 530am and stay awake.

GinnyBee · 14/09/2022 08:32

Most wake at 530am and stay awake.

Mine is one of them 🙃 On the rare occasion he can go back to sleep until 7-7.30 but more often he nods off on the boob, dozes for 8 minutes in the cot and then wants to play!

Posting on behalf of a friend always intrigue me.

why? Presumably she has an email address and signing up to mumsnet is not exactly onerous!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 14/09/2022 09:12

Ds was a 5am-5.30am waker until he was 3!

Doingprettywellthanks · 14/09/2022 09:13

And you have a 6 month old too according to your many previous threads!

SarahDay1990 · 14/09/2022 09:14

I know I wouldn’t be complaining! Think she just wants to check that she’s not reinforcing the early wakes. No mumsnet account as she’s clearly always had a great sleeper!!!!

This is brilliant sleep for a baby that age.

SarahDay1990 · 14/09/2022 09:15

Yes I do but as you can see from my threads mine is not a good sleeper !
