2yo naps all gone to pot!!! help!

So for a long time my 2yo has had 1 nap a day, after lunch usually for 1.5 - 2 hours. A couple of weeks ago this suddenly stopped in that I went to put him in his cot as normal and he just stood and screamed until I gave up and he missed that nap completely. This has happened every day since then and he just point blank refuses to nap. HOWEVER. my 4yo has just started school so at 830am and 3pm I'm now having to do school runs, sometimes we walk sometimes we go in the car but every time both journeys my 2yo falls asleep!!! He's then of course only have 2 tiny cat naps as I then have to wake him up to drop/pick up our daughter (he won't transfer without waking). He's now proceeding to wake in the night screaming and taking ages to go back to sleep so it just feels like our predictable easy routine has all gone to pot and is in a muddle! Please help how can I rectify this!? Xx

Get him to walk or scoot or bike instead of sitting in the pram?

Can you walk to school exclusively for the next month or so, to get him used to the dropped nap? That should help evening sleep.

There's no way he would walk as its a good 20-25 minute walk there, then back again :( and the last couple of days we have taken the car as its been raining so bad. Feel like I can't avoid the naps! :(

Stand him on the buggy board instead of in the pram?

What about keeping him entertained in the car with children's nursery rhymes. So he doesn't fall asleep?

As soon as lo looks sleepy in pram, could you get them out of pram and walk?? Then keep getting in and out. Buggy board sounds great idea. I picked one up from aldi for about 30 quid. Also keep pram sitting up? So it would be very uncomfortable to sleep. Sounds so mean I know.

For the car, could you open window a bit? Keep nice and fresh not so comfy and warm. Perhaps your 4 year old can be in on it with you keep your lo awake. Louder music then normal. Lots of activity in car book? Toy etc. Maybe some musical loud toy. I know your driving, but I have to say I'm one of those thar can block out while driving so hoping you could.
