Sleep help!!

We were slowly getting some where with bedtimes with our 5 month old. Nearly sleeping the night (but waking early - not a problem)
Now she started to roll over in her swaddle so we have been trying to transition out using the sleep bag one arm/ 2 arm.

She will not settle at all with any arms out. Crying, wriggling & rolling for hours.
Last night I put her back in her swaddle but then she rolls over in her swaddle and keeps trying when I put her on her back so this took hours!

I can't comfort her to sleep with her arms out and she won't be rocked or anything.
Any help ?! 😢

This isn't what you want to hear, but I'll tell you what everyone told me when I took to mumsnet with the same problem

You just have to get through it and stop swaddling your baby. You don't want them to roll on to their face and be unable to roll back.

Your child will find a way, with your help, to soothe.

Have you tried feeding to sleep? Singing? Patting?

My partner just walks up and down the room holding my daughter and she drops off now. Admittedly that didn't work until she was about 12 months

You can swaddle her if she's rolling this is a massive safety risk.

As pp you just need to help her adapt to having her arms out.
We also paced the floor rocking, noise machine, dummy, comforter.
They eventually get used to it.

Thank you for the replies, I really appreciate it.

I know the rules with swaddling and this is why it's stressing me out so much. We have transitioned into a sleep bag so her arms aren't strapped down so she can move them but they aren't completely free and out.

Yes we have tried the rocking, patting etc. and it works completely fine with her arms in.

I can tell she is so tired but she just won't stop kicking her legs and then gets really upset after 40 mins when she is completely over tired.

I'll keep going and keep committing to it. I don't mind waking up in the night, but I don't like it being a battle to get her to sleep 😢

I'm afraid her arms need to be out freely if she's started to roll.

Does she take a dummy?

She does but she doesn't love it and some times prefers to fall asleep without it.

I'm just going to keep going with it and hope we make progress soon 😴😴
