Teething? Or something else?

My 16 month old has never been a great sleeper (slept through once 🥱) and normally wakes up twice a night but the last month has been crazy, she is up about 5 times and when in her cot is always moving around, then in my bed she is also moving around a lot and never has a restful night.

Daytime she can sleep for up to 3 hours sometimes, probably catching up on sleep but the last few days she has been acting so hyper and manic! I don't know if it's teething or regression or something else? Is anyone else going through similar at this stage?

I know it passes as it did with my eldest but I am a broken woman right now!

My 16 month old is being weird too, on absolutely packed busy days when she'd normally be out like a light she just won't stop. And she's getting to grips with talking so is practicing in the night. Has yours got any new physical skills, maybe she's trying them out!?

I've heard of an 18 month regression, but tbh we've had bad sleep for nearly a year now so I don't tend to notice. The molars are a pain as they come through too. Could be anything I guess!

Hmm maybe it's just this age then! Like you say we have had had bad sleep too since forever so it all blends into one. No new skills here really and she has the pre molars already. I thought it might be the canines but can't get a look at them properly.

If only they could talk and tell us what's wrong 😅
