So my little girl is 6 months and it is such a struggle with napping during the day. She still has 3 hourly feeds which varies between 4-6oz depending how she is feeling. We have tried to stretch out the feeds but she gets so upset. We try to keep her up until 7pm to go down for the night but she can get so upset that we are having to give her a bottle earlier (which she only takes around a couple of Oz) and that’s her. The napping during the day typically is 30 mins each time, possible an hour/1.5 hours. I don’t know what to do anymore with her. We’ve tried to put her back down for naps but it just doesn’t work. The sleeping at night isn’t the best either. She’s usually goes down with a dummy and can go a couple of hours then she cries in her sleep, we go back to settle her then she can cry every hour or sometimes less during the night. She ends up wakening anywhere between 3/4/5am and we have to bring her through to our bed just to get a couple of more hours (no judging please). We have also tried to give her a bottle during the night but she isn’t interested. My partner said about paying for a sleep training thing online but I don’t know what to do. We are both exhausted and this seems to have been going on for weeks now with no end in sight. Any suggestions on what would help.

She is eating as well, some porridge in the morning, a wee drop of fruit or veg purée at lunch and something before her last bottle. She is a hungry baby, just the milk she doesn’t seem to be interested in….

Quick response and will come back later. Quickly though Have you tried a bit more proper food ? Like some carbs ? Cottage pie blitzed up? Or BLW which ever suits you. My lo was a foody more then milk. Always has.

I need this laid out a bit better.

So she generally naps for half an hour at a time, but does the occasional hour or hour and a half? How many naps? What’s her total daytime sleep like?

She goes to bed at 7pm but wakes after a couple of hours; And then every hour after that; But doesn’t want a feed? And the only way to settle her at 3am is to bring her into your bed and she’ll sleep until 5/6ish and then be up for the day?

Lo sounds massively overtired. What are your awake windows? Routine?

If lo only taking couple oz of milk, I would say Lo is not hungry.

How are the feeds and food planned out?
