Dreaming or teething..?

My dd has just started crying a few times during the night but when I go into her, she is fast asleep. Last night it started about 2am and continued until about 6am. She kept crying for a minute or two then stop and start again about 10 mins later! I put it down to dreaming but then when I thought about it, I didn't think it could be a dream for it to last so long. She would cry out like she was in pain, but was asleep. She is 17 months.

my dd is 6mo and she sometimes cries out in her sleep. If she stays asleep I am happy ! I haven't had any pain teething cries, But it does sound like what some of my friends have gone through. Is your dd okay when she is awake?

Mine is doing this at the moment too. It's on and off all night every half hour to hour or so, for about 5 mins. I'm just about to go to her and then she stops, but starts up again a while later. I too am mainly just glad she doesn't wake right up, but at the same time it's disturbing my sleep and I'm a little bit worried about her. She's 14 months and drooling like mad, so may be teething, but I'm not sure. Sorry not to be more helpful, but I've no idea what it is either!
