20 week old rolling at night - help!

My baby rolled from back to tummy yesterday for the first time. This morning we found her asleep on her stomach.

Tonight she keeps rolling in her sleep. I keep rolling her onto her back but she keeps turning over onto her side or tummy. She’s unable to roll back yet and she has her face down into the mattress when she’s on her tummy.

What am I supposed to do? It’s also very hot where we are at the moment (27 degrees in the room tonight with windows and doors open) so I’m extra concerned that there’s more of a risk of her overheating if she’s face down and I’m not awake to roll her back. She slept through for the first time last night so I didn’t wake all night.

When they roll themselves it’s fine to leave them 🙂 babies tend to sleep better on their tummies and get more comfortable, so she’ll probably keep rolling herself where she’s comfy, and you’ll probably get better nights now too!

It's fine, just let her. If you haven't already, move her into a sleeping bag rather than loose blankets so there is nothing near her face. They roll around all the time eventually and lots of babies sleep on their tummies.

Thanks for the reassurance!

We just let her do what she wanted, made sure she was as safe as she could be - no blankets etc. and she was fine. Slept from 9-9 with one wake for a feed at 5am so happy days 😁
