My 2.3 year old daughter has recently been climbing out of her cot so we had to switch her to a bed as it became dangerous.
She was a decent sleeper but now it has become impossible for her to stay in her bed/room. No amount of sending her back to bed seems to work. I really don't want to get into the habit of lying with her until she sleeps as I don't always have the time (2 other children) and I don't see how that wouldn't lead into a long term thing.
She gets so tired and all my evenings are spent battling with her to stay in bed. Part of me is thinking I should get a gate on her room and let her do whatever until she goes to sleep but I feel like she'd be up for hours.
Any tips would be appreciated before I go insane/spend money I don't have on a sleep trainer!
