LO 10m has started waking at 3am. Stays awake for 30 mins, not crying, but making noises like be would in the morning when up for the day. He’ll then drift back off but wake every 30 mins until 5.30am, when he’s up for the day. Last night he also woke very upset at 8.30pm, an hour and a half after going to bed.

Previously he was sleeping well 7pm-5.30/6am.

I assume it must be being caused by either over-tiredness/under-tiredness or development (he seems close to crawling/standing/walking all at once).

He naps at 9am ish and 1.30pm ish for an hour and 20 mins each time, sometimes 2 hours at lunch. Bed around 3.5-4 hours after last nap, usually 7pm ish.

I’m inclined to think it’s over-tiredness as he falls asleep very quickly when he goes to bed (often on bottle although he can self settle and wakes when transferred to cot).

Has anyone experienced something similar or does anyone know why he might be having this pattern of waking?
