Sleep consultant?

FTM here. Not at the point yet, but wondered if anyone has ever had a sleep consultant come to their home to help with baby sleep? Is this something that is available or did I make it up?

My friend had it. She came over for a week. Was amazing she trains celebrities kids etc.
she was $5-7k for a week Australian dollars.

I haven’t but have a friend who has, although it was actually by phone.
I reckon you could find one on Lindsey Hookaway’s website? (The people she’s trained)

Lyndsey Hookway isn’t really a sleep consultant. She’s very good at reassuring what it normal baby sleep however if you are at breaking point and need to properly sleep train with a plan and potentially some form of controlled crying, you’d need another form of sleep trainer I think.

It may not be your thing, but i can recommend The beyond sleep training project - they have a website and facebook group etc. i have found it really helpful

Yes! We used carol mae consulting and she was amazing. dd was over 1 by then and wakong every hour to scream 😬

I had a 1 hr phone session, she mostly empowered me to have routine, gave me tips etc but it worked so well as we were all just so worn down bed time had become a mess. Nothing revolutiinary but so brilliantly helpful

We used a sleep consultant it was brilliant. Cost couple hundred for weeks of support and a plan. Was nice to just have that person there to support

Great, who was it?

I had one. I would say it was great (my baby was very young) but not a one week fix if situation. Requires really committing and being willing to change your own routine to make it work. I wasn't militant but my friend who also used her was. She also has book. The 7-7 sleeping baby routine/Charmian mead.

Yes we did something like this and over the phone. Wish I could remember who it was! Sorry. Now looking back, it was more for a plan and reassurance to stick to it.

It worked when she was a baby. Then we had a few issues when she was 3, but we had the 'sleep fairy' visit and she left a chocolate button and notes in the morning if she stayed in her bedroom all night.

Good luck!
