I would say, sleep when baby asleep. If family offer to look after baby in the home while you go for a nap take it. When lo goes bed, you go bed. Early days I was asleep by 7pm to 730pm. Also if partner is available they take evening shift from 7pm ish until 12am to 1am and you take over then you get a big block of sleep. Then the rest of night being broken doesn't seem so bad....
Forget cleaning, and if possible get a cleaner, my house was a mess for first 6 months if not more.
Get your older kids to help out more with chores every afternoon/evening and your partner.
I was always told if your in bed resting it still helps. Don't stress yourself if you can't sleep, still happens to me, I get up walk around, do a few random bits and go back to bed and try again.
I have heard batch freezing meals is a good one.
How old are your other kids? Can they get themselves to school?
What kind of pets? Dogs? Again can the kids do a walk in evening? Maybe dog walker?
I think it's luck of draw, you either have a baby that sleeps or doesn't sleep well. Mine didn't and I'm a sleeper. I would say have a refresh on good sleeping habits and awake times for Los and some people suggest from the word go to put lo awake in place they will sleep.
Not sure if this helped but I wish I was told this sort of thing originally.
Congratulations 🎊 and you know it goes so quickly so try and enjoy.
