20 month sleep help!

Hiya,

Hope you’re well.

I wondered if you can give any advice?

20 month old sleep history:

0-4 months it was here and there as expected.

4-14 months he went into his own room with white noise and slept 7-7 albeit he either fell asleep during his bottle or was rocked to sleep but generally a great sleeper.

14 months - we went on holiday where he slept really well and ever since he has refused to go to sleep. He was waking during the night to begin with but now he just refuses to self settle but generally sleeps through the night.
We have been living with parents for almost a year and moved house last week so a bit disrupted I’ll admit. It would be knocking on 10pm before he was asleep. We tried driving him and taking him for a walk which yes got him to sleep but not the long term solution.
Because of the late nights and shorter sleeps he has been napping between 11-1

We are now changing the routine to bringing lunch to 11:30 (will move to 12 once he is used to the new routine) and napping after lunch but no later than 2pm wake up. Starting the bath, bottle, bed routine again and then chaos hits. We have tried cry it out with going in intermittently and he is so distressed. 2.5 hours plus and no luck! We have tried laying with him to sleep but have noticed that he then wakes in the night which he doesn’t usually do, usually once he is asleep he is asleep. And we cant lay with him every night, again not realistic.

In short I desperately need help with settling after bath and bottle in his cot without us laying with him etc (baring in mind he is now 20 months and very knowing/aware!)

Is there any hope?

Sorry for the essay!
