Hey,

FTM here!
My son has just turned 12 weeks and in the past couple of days it has been impossible to get him to sleep on his back.

I’ll place him down in his cot on his back and he will just roll straight onto his side.
I put him back on his back and after a couple of minutes right back to his side.

He’s always had a preference to laying on his side since birth, but now he can get onto his side by himself it’s impossible to get him to sleep any other way.

I haven’t slept in two days, waking up every 10mins because I’m so paranoid as I know it’s important for babies to sleep on the back and he’s still so young.
Any advice would be greatly recommended!

This is a hard one. I had this and did as you turning onto back. I went with after a while if my lo could do it their self what can I do? I can't watch them all night.....I know that's probably not official advise but what can you do. You can't watch them all night. I did start unswaddling at this point though.

Tricky one, if he can get there himself then he’s probably comfier that way and will sleep better. But I don’t think it’s meant to be good for their hips.

He’s not been swaddled for a while now, as he’s been fairly good at rolling and we were starting to worry.
He’s able to easily roll from side to back, so hopefully all is okay! I think I’ll just have to keep checking him in the night, he’s in a bedside crib so not too much hassle
