4 month sleep regression

Let me start off by saying the sleep regression is hell!

My baby is 14 weeks, she is going through her fourth leap (the wonder weeks) and has started her sleep regression. I have a few questions for parents who have gone through it.

  1. Does it ever get better? If so how long did it take?
  1. Do their bedtimes start to get earlier at this age, DD was going to sleep at 11 and sleeping through the night, but is now going down at 9-9:30 and waking every hour.
  1. DD screams before bed or naps, she needs rocked or fed to sleep and I really want to break this association but she will just scream, even if she's only just showed tired cues and followed her wake windows- any advice?
  1. Did your DC need extra contact naps during the regression, I cannot put DD down in her crib at all when napping as she immediately wakes no matter how long she has been sleeping on me.

Any advice to get through this would be brilliant! :)

Probably no help. But I always did contact naps until lo was older. She wouldn't sleep otherwise and if she did it was for 45 mins 😆

I would say lo is overtired. Maybe couple days inside and catch up. Especially with crying to sleep. But then my lo always liked a cry before a sleep..... so may be a phase.

We survived with our non sleeper until 6 months and did CC.

Sadly no catching up in this house during the week.. we have builders making a racket from 8am to 4pm 😅 feel like I'm losing my marbles!

There are definitely times she does get overtired, but she also screams if I follow her wake windows and her sleep cues so not really sure what is causing it. She screams before naps as well majority of the time until I bounce or feed her to comfort her

hi @poppyflower1803 , this sounds similar to how my DS is experiencing his fourth leap and sleep regression, can you remember how it all turned out when the leap was over?
