Hello,
I have seen many posts on here regarding the 11mo sleep regression which are all really useful. We are in the midst of this with our 11mo who was putting themselves to sleep in their cot and sleeping through the night up until a week or so ago.
I have a specific question regarding settling them back down during the night and wondered if anyone had experienced this - She will cry uncontrollably and be standing up in her cot 2/3 times a night at the moment. We have found the only way to get her back down is to make sure she is fully asleep before putting her back in the cot and the easiest/quickest way to do this is by feeding her (she's fully BF) - I stopped BFing in the night about 3/4 months ago so it's hard work!
My question is, did anyone else resort to going back to feeding in the night during this period and did it cause your little one to start waking / wanting feeding in the night again even after the regression was over? Or did you find that once you got out the other end of the regression they started sleeping through again? I don't want to bring back bad sleep connotations but she will start coughing and struggling to breath she gets that worked up!
We are also trying to help her learn to sit back down and things during the day in the hopes that she will learn to self settle again even if she stands up.
Thanks!
