What’s going on with DS?

We sleep trained our 18 month old three and a half weeks ago as I was being pushed to the brink of desperation by him - was getting next to no sleep.

The first night was horrific but then it worked. He hasn’t been totally perfect but so much better and recently had started to sleep through fairly reliably.

Until tonight when he woke at 11 and just screamed. It’s just like before when all he wants is for me to hold him.

Its horrendous, he’s been screaming for nearly two hours now

He’s now been screaming for four hours

Is he ill / coming down with something? If he's been sleeping through a few weeks it's more likely to be an oncoming bug than sleep regression.

I don’t think so, although I did give him calpol in case he was in pain. It’s so hard, he settles in my arms but then screams hysterically when put down. And this really got me down which is why we sleep trained in the first place.
